Under high temperature oxidation atmosphere, a quartz protective layer is formed on the surface of the silicon molybdenum rod to prevent further oxidation. When the temperature of the component exceeds 1700 ℃, the quartz protective layer melts, and the component continues to be used in an oxidizing atmosphere, resulting in the regeneration of the quartz protective layer. Silicon molybdenum rods should not be used for a long time within the range of 400-700 ℃, otherwise the components will pulverize due to strong oxidation at low temperatures.
