    What is this workshop about?

    A Hexapod robot is a mechanical robot that walks on six legs. It is the most famous of legged robots; general robots which have two or more legs. Compared to other Legged robots, they are stable. A Hexapod robot, with six legs, is flexible in movement. Posture for hexapods are often stable, even in slightly rocky and uneven terrain.

    Due to their capability of walking on various terrains, Hexapods find multitude of applications. The Hexapod Robotics Workshop aims to impart practical understanding of the concepts of parallel kinematic motion through applications of Servo Motors, Arduino, Microcontroller programming and Wireless communication essential for designing and controlling a Hexapod.

    Course Outcomes

    • Introduction to Servo Motors, Embedded systems & Microcontrollers.
    • Introduction to Design and Development of Walking Robots
    • Understanding the Electronics circuitry involved in Hexapod
    • Practical experience for participants with Servo motors, embedded systems & microcontroller programming.
